As 2015 winds its way down to a close, there have never been more options on shelves for those looking for a great smartphone, regardless of which network you’re on or which kind of device you’re looking for, our Top 10 Best Android Phone list for November has changed a little bit, and it has some newcomers from this Fall. So, let’s get started, shall we?
10. Sony Xperia Z5
Sony’s Xperia Z5 is yet another device in the Xperia Z family and the list of names in that family since the original Xperia Z launched in 2012 is disturbingly long. Nevertheless, this latest addition keeps the same formula, but adds in some new additions such as a fingerprint sensor that works well and is in the best place on a phone and a slightly improved camera. With a good 5.2-inch display and excellent software, this is the device that will please a lot of people, the only problem is getting your hands on one in the US of A.

09. OnePlus 2
It’s been an interesting year for OnePlus, and they aimed to end it with the OnePlus X, which will no doubt go down well in Europe and parts of Asia. The OnePlus 2 is an excellent smartphone, especially for its price, with a large battery and a solid build this 5.5-inch device does cut some corners. The 1080p resolution is fine, and with the 4GB/64GB option people have little to complain about, but the lack of NFC continues to hurt the OnePlus 2. With Android Pay taking off in parts of North America, users of this Chinese upstart won’t be able to pay as their friends do, and the questionable omission continues to get worse. For those that don’t need NFC of course, there’s nothing to worry about, as this is an excellent device all round, that’s for certain.
08. Motorola Droid TURBO 2
The Droid line of devices has been around since Android took off, and their latest introduction is a really solid device. With a 5.4-inch Quad HD device, an excellent camera and more Motorola DNA than ever before, this could be the Droid you were looking for. That is of course if you’re an avid Verizon customer and are prone to dropping your device a lot. If that’s the case then this ShatterShield, practically unbreakable smartphone will be right up your alley. It’s not exactly cheap however, but with Moto Maker support now included this is the most flexible Droid smartphone that Motorola and Verizon have put out. We took an in-depth look at it in our review and it’s something we thoroughly enjoyed. For those outside of the US however, they can take a look at the Moto X Force.
07. LG Nexus 5X
LG has returned to the Nexus camp with the Nexus 5X, a revival of 2013’s Nexus 5 that feels a little too 2014 for a lot of users. With its 5.2-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 808 and 2GB of RAM this isn’t the sort of Nexus powerhouse we’ve come to expect. Instead, it’s the more affordable and more compact option. Of course, it still has the same fingerprint sensor as well as the same excellent camera that the Nexus 6P has. For those looking for something a little more affordable and a little more compact, the Nexus 5X won’t let you down, as we found out in our review.

06. LG V10
LG’s slightly offbeat launch for the Fall is an interesting device that’s all about getting out there, living life and taking a hell of a lot of photos and footage. Levering the same overall platform as the G4’s excellent camera, LG have added all sorts of new software to the V10 to make it an excellent camera phone with great movie-making capabilities. It’s also designed to be rugged, which is an interesting claim as a lot of users have seen some serious screen damage after short periods of use with the phone. Nevertheless, this slightly bulky, fingerprint sensor-infused G4 of a device is a good choice, but it might not be for everyone.
05. Motorola Moto X Pure
The Moto X returned once more this year, and it did so with some big improvements. Growing to a sizeable 5.7-inches, the Moto X Pure got a big resolution bump to a Quad HD display, and also gained one of the best cameras on the market. It’s a device that has a lot of flexibility using Moto Maker, naturally, but this is something of a strange move for Motorola. On the one hand, the larger battery and better camera will bring in new customers, but those looking for a more manageable size of a smartphone will probably be looking elsewhere, as a 5.7-inch smartphone is nothing to sniff at and using this in one hand will most definitely be a challenge. Still, with stock Android and an excellent camera experience, we discovered yet another great Android phone in our review.

04. LG G4
The LG G4, much like other Android smartphones of 2015 was an interaction on last year’s model, but it might all the right changes. Available with a little luxury, this 5.5-inch Quad HD device got a better-quality display in the process and it also gave us one of the best and most useable camera experiences of the year. With a Snapdragon 808 and 3GB, the G4 still didn’t perform quite as we would have expected, but it offers up an excellent experience for the majority of people out there. Available on all carriers for a very respectable price, the only issue here is with some overwrought software that won’t be to everyone’s taste.
03. Samsung Galaxy Note 5
For years now, the Galaxy Note line of device has been offering up some of the best Android experiences for users, but this year the line blurred a little more. For a lot of users, the Galaxy Note was more than just a larger Galaxy S with a stylus. This year however, that’s what it feels like for a lot of users. Nevertheless, the S-Pen is still as good as it always has been, and that large Super AMOLED display is still pretty great, too. We took a close look in our review, and the Note is just as powerful and power-user friendly as it’s always been, even if it is a little similar to the Galaxy S line.

02. Huawei Nexus 6P
As we found out in our review, the Nexus 6P is easily the best Nexus device that Google and their partners have come up with. It might be a little on the large side, but with a larger battery and an excellent camera experience, the Nexus 6P is a great phone full-stop, there’s no more of that “great for a Nexus” nonsense any longer. With a good feel in-hand and of course the latest version of Android, the Nexus 6P is well worth taking a look at, especially if you’re okay with spending a little extra than the Nexus 5X for a better phone.

01. Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Edge+
It might seem strange to lump all of these devices into the same lot, but they are essentially the same device just in different experiences, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge offer a decent size for those in need of an everyday device, and those wanting more are left with the Galaxy S6 Edge+. All using Super AMOLED displays and some seriously good processors of Samsung’s own making, these are great everyday experiences for the vast majority of users. The only issue is how much they cost at full retail.
