Wind Mobile Introduces New Promo Plans Starting At $45

Canadian wireless carrier Wind Mobile has announced the launch of two new promotional monthly postpaid plans, both of which seem to be reworked versions of plans that are already existing or were discontinued earlier. Firstly, the carrier is bringing back the $45 price point with the introduction of an all-new monthly plan which seems to be fairly similar to the discontinued $45 plan. Wind Mobile has also announced the introduction of a new $55 dollar plan, which in essence offers the exact same features as the current $50 plan, but with a few added bells and whistles. Along with the allotted data, talk and text that come as part of the bundles, the carrier is also offering service credits of up to $15 for people signing up with either of the two newly-introduced plans.

Taking a more detailed look at the two new plans, both come with unlimited data, talk and text but as far as data is concerned, the $45 plan will bring only 3 GB of full-speeds data access, and thereafter, unlimited access at reduced speeds, meaning no overage charges will be levied after the full-speed data allowance is exhausted. As for the $55 plan, much the same additional features are on offer, but for 5 GB of extra data available at full speed. Instead of the 3 GB data that’s on offer with the $45 plan, the $55 plan brings along 8 GB of full-speed data, but that’s about it as far as differences between the two plans are concerned. Both plans also come with unlimited talk across Canada and the US, along with unlimited global texting and voicemail, and unlimited US long distance, according to the listing on the company’s website.

Also on offer with both plans is up to $15 in features on top of everything that comes with the plans in the first place, as mentioned already. While there’s a $10 service credit that can be used to buy extra full-speed data, extra minutes of talk-time (global or national) or extra outgoing text messages, the carrier is throwing in a further $5 in credit for customers bringing their own phones. The carrier is also offering up to $100 off on the purchase of a new phone with WINDtab for people signing up with either of the newly-introduced plans.
