Huawei Unveils G7 Plus And Y6 Handsets In Taiwan

HTC has announced the availability of two new devices in their homeland, the G7 Plus and Y6. The G7 Plus is the higher-end one, this phone is powered by the Snapdragon 615 SoC, sports 3GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel on the back. The Y6, on the other hand, ships with the Snapdragon 210, 1GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel camera on the inside.

Letv Plans To Ship 10 million 1s Handsets

Letv has announced their 1s smartphone quite recently, at the end of last month. The phone will cost 1,099 Yuan ($173) in China without a contract, and it will be available starting November 3rd. The phone is powered by MediaTek’s MT6795T 64-bit octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz, it sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here. The phone also sports a fingerprint scanner.

Alcatel One Touch Fierce XL Gets Announced In India

Alcatel has announced a new mid-range device in India, the One Touch Fierce XL. This smartphone sports a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 210, a 64-bit quad-core SoC, and a 2,500mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 8-megapixel is located on the back of this phone, and Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here.

Infocus Announces M535 Handset In India, Costs Rs. 9,999 ($152)

The Infocus M535 is now official in India. This handset features a 5.5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz, and a 2,600mAh battery is available on the inside. The 13-megapixel shooter can be found on the back of this phone, and Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with Infocus’ Inlife UI on top of it.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Is Now Official In Malaysia As Well

Xiaomi has announced their Redmi Note 2 mid-ranger at the end of August. This phone sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. Xiaomi has launched only the 16GB variant of this phone which ships with MediaTek’s MT6795 SoC, the 32GB model with MT6795T processor has not been announced. Pre-orders for this handset will commence on November 11th, and the phone will ship at the end of the month.

Micromax Announces Canvas Mega E353 & Amaze Q395 Handsets

This India-based company has released Canvas Mega E353 and Amaze Q395 smartphones in their homeland. The first handset ships with a 5.5-inch 720p display, 1GB of RAM, and is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz. The Canvas Amaze Q395, on the other hand, comes with a 5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM and MediaTek’s MT6580 quad-core SoC. The first handset is priced at Rs. 8,099 ($123), while the price of the second one is still unknown. The Canvas Mega E353 is already available online.

South Korea is home of both Samsung and LG, two tech giants. There are all sorts of devices offered for sale in Korea, but it seems like the affordable ones are gaining popularity, at least according to the latest report. Affordable devices are becoming better and better, and truth be told, this isn’t all that surprising. Another reason for this is the implementation of the Mobile Device Distribution Improvement Act which has blocked premium phones from being sold at low prices.
