Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is one of four flagship devices Samsung has introduced this year. The company has unveiled the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones back in March, and the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus phablets in August. The Galaxy Note 5 is definitely one of the most popular Samsung-branded devices, and this time around it sports premium specs, once again. The device has been announced in both the 32GB and 64GB internal storage variants, but some rumors popped up a while back that the 128GB model is also en route. Well, Samsung did just launch that variant of the device as well, read on.
This Korea-based tech giant has introduced the 128GB variant of the Galaxy Note 5 in its homeland. The company is officially calling this device the Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition, and it will be available for purchase starting today through SK Telecom and KT (oleh), two of South Korea’s biggest carriers. The phone comes in Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum color options, and the device sports a ‘special’ price of 999,900 KRW ($846). Now, it is also worth mentioning that this handset, aside from internal storage increase, is completely identical to the 32 and 64GB models. Its internal specs are completely identical, as is its overall design.
So, the Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (non-expandable). The device is fueled by the Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor along with a Mali-T760 MP8 GPU for graphics. The 16-megapixel OIS camera (f/1.9 aperture) is available on the back of this device, and a 5-megapixel shooter can be found up front. The 3,000mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package, and the phablet is made out of metal. The fingerprint scanner is present here as well (built into the home button), and the device measures 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6mm, while it weighs 171 grams. That is pretty much it, we still don’t know if it will be available outside of Korea, nor when that might happen, stay tuned though, we’ll keep you in the loop.
