Elephone is one of the more interesting China-based companies. The company has been manufacturing low and mid-range devices made out fo metal for quite some time, and then they decided to change things up and start releasing higher-end models. This company has introduced the P7000 and P8000 handsets this year, and three P9000 phones are incoming. One of those P9000 devices will actually sport no bezel on the sides, and Elephone also plans to release an Android Wear-powered smartwatch in the near future. That being said, this company has also released two M2 devices earlier this year, and it seems like new ‘M’ devices are on the way as well, read on.
According to our source at the company, Elephone is getting ready to announce the M3 and M3 Pro smartphones in the near future. The two devices will be very similar, the main difference will be in their camera and internal storage actually. Both of these phones will be fueled by MediaTek’s all-new Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor, and interestingly enough, these devices will sport US bands, which is becoming a thing for Elephone. The M3 and M3 Pro will be made out of aircraft-grade aluminum, and will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The M3 Pro will sport a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved display supplied by LG (we’re guessing a 1080p panel), while a 21-megapixel shooter (Sony’s IMX230 sensor) will be located on its back. Fingerprint scanner has also been confirmed by our source, but we still don’t know if both devices will sport it, they quite probably will. As far as color options go, Rose Gold, Champagne Gold and Smokey Gray will be available.
That is pretty much all the info we have as far as specs go, but we also managed to get our hands on some official renders. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the M3 and M3 Pro in the flesh. Both the front and back side of the M3 Pro are showcased in the second image, and the device does look quite sleek. We still don’t know when will these two phones going to be announced, but stay tuned for more info.
