With the holidays coming up next week people are going to have a lot of downtime, and what better way to spend some of that downtime than giving yourself a little digital escape and playing some games. There’s been quite a few new additions to the Play Store over the past few weeks, and we’ve combed through some of the top offerings to bring you the top 10 Android games for the month of December.
Snowboard Party 2
Tons of air, sick tricks, and plenty of powder to keep you entertained all day. That’s all you need and that’s what you’ll get with Snowboard Party 2. Players can also expect some pretty decent visuals and loads of single player gameplay with things like Time Attack and Freestyle modes.
Sniper Fury
If you enjoy a good first person shooter game that focuses solely on the sniping aspect as opposed to something more like Modern Combat, than you’ll want to check out the latest from Gameloft called Sniper Fury. Typical sniping shooter elements are here with some excellent graphics and plenty of weaponry, missions, and achievements to be had. It’s perfect for some of the free time you’ll have during the holidays.
The Executive
If your dream has always been to battle werewolves in hand to hand combat while dressed up sharply, The Executive is here to fulfill that dream. It offers up a unique but pleasing visual perspective for the graphics and some easy to learn controls, and there’s over 120 levels so there should be more than enough to entertain.
Please, Don’t Touch Anything
If puzzlers are more style and you crave a game which will challenge you to think and solve critical mind benders, “Please, Don’t Touch Anything” just might be what the doctor ordered. It’s filled with 25 insanely cryptic levels which might just have you pulling out hair. Have strength though, dear gamer. Stick with it and you’ll be rewarded.
Breakneck
Breakneck first debuted on iOS not that long ago, and not it’s come to android to offer up some extremely fast paced racing. You’ll be flying through futuristic locale trying to escape invaders that are hunting you. You’ll need to dodge all manner of obstacles while also trying to get as far as possible. Essentially this plays like and feels like an endless runner.
Aralon: Forge And Flame
If you have a little more time on your hands and you enjoy games from the RPG genre, Crescent Moon Games has just recently launched Aralon: Forge And Flame, the long-awaited sequel to their wildly popular and massive open-world RPG game Aralon: Sword and Shadow from a few years back. This game is bigger, badder, and offers up a much richer experience with prettier, optimized graphics and tons to do. If you like to immerse yourself, you can’t go wrong here.
Cut The Rope: Magic
This would be the latest in the series of physics-based puzzle games from Zeptolabs, and as to be expected it offers up some great graphics and tons of fun levels, (100 in total currently with more on the way through future updates) new elements, and a gameplay that’s just as simple as ever to get into. If you were a fan of any or all of the previous Cut The Rope titles, check this one out.
Rusty Lake Hotel
If you like point and click adventures with an odd-ball comedic feel and dialogue, then you should check out Rusty lake Hotel. It’s strangely mesmerizing and yet, easy to play for hours with tons of puzzles to solve and a cast of funny-looking characters, not to mention a great visual art style.
Rayman Adventures
Ubisoft recently launched their latest game in the popular series of platformers featuring the limbless hero known as Rayman. Like all Rayman games, Rayman Adventures features gorgeous graphics and loads of easy and fun gameplay, and you’ll have the opportunity to explore each level to find hidden secrets, collect special powered friends called incrediballs, and all the while scouring the world for the stolen ancient eggs.
Murder
Rounding out this list is another point and click adventure game called Murder, which plays out like a short story set in a cyberpunk era of a futuristic Tokyo. You are metro-police Lieutenant Motomeru Minori who ends up with a dangerous case. Murder is filled with moral choices and fantastic retro graphics all played to the tune of a fitting soundtrack.
