The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are the two phablets Samsung has announced back in August. These are the companies flagship phablets which have been available for purchase all over the world for quite some time now. The two devices have received their first update back in October, and they’ve received it at the same time. Well, it seems like the two phablets Samsung released are inseparable, they’re not receiving yet another update at the same time, read on.
Interesting enough, the changelog actually remains the same this time around. The update is around 100 MB in size, and it brings an improved call quality, improved security and battery usage optimization, all of which were mentioned back in October. The update also brings general Android security patch for the month of November by the way. The update build numbers for these two devices are different though, of course, the ‘N920GUBU2AOK3’ is Note 5’s build number, and ‘G928IDVU2AOK8′ is S6 Edge Plus’. The update is currently rolling out to users, though keep in mind that you might have to wait until it hits your device. You can always head over to Settings -> About Device -> Software Update menu and check for the update manually, if you want.
The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are quite similar in terms of specs, but they look significantly different. The Galaxy Note 5 is Samsung’s phablet which sports a rather regular design for factor, and it ships with the company’s S Pen stylus which brings a lot of extra functionality to the device. The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, on the other hand, is basically a bigger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone Samsung has announced back in March. This phablet sports curved display on both its left and right side, and is quite sleek looking because of it. Both devices are powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor, which is one of the best mobile SoCs of the year, if not the best. 3GB of RAM is also on board here, and both handsets sport a 16-megapixel OIS camera and a metal unibody design.
