Get in Shape this New Year with Updown Fitness

It’s about to be the start of a brand new year, and for many, that means making a New Years resolution to get in shape. This year, it’s easier than ever to get in shape. When you have apps like Updown Fitness to help you out. Updown Fitness is a new app in the Google Play Store that acts as a personal trainer or coach, basically. Allowing you to exercise on your own schedule (eliminating the “I don’t have time” excuse), and it has personalized workouts which are generated instantly, just for you. There are five workout types included in this app, and over 1500 available exercises. The five types of workouts included are Cardio, Strength, Cross, Core and Stretch. It’s a good idea to alternate between these each day (i.e. Cardio one day then Strength the next, etc) so your entire body gets in shape.

Now once you’ve built your workout in Updown Fitness, the app guides you through all of these exercises and provides great visual and audio timers as well as exercise animations. So if you’ve never done an exercise before, don’t worry about it, Updown Fitness will teach you. The developer of Updown Fitness says that the app is smart. It actually tells you how much weight to use as well as how many reps to perform. Which is a great way to guide people into getting in shape, especially those that are new to working out. Updown Fitness also learns from you and will grow with you as you make progress.

With Updown Fitness you can choose to workout at home without any equipment – just using your body weight – or to use the equipment at the gym. Using the “locations” feature in the app tells Updown Fitness whether you’re at home or at the gym. That gets rid of another excuse for those that aren’t in shape. Updown Fitness also has a pretty interesting way to keep you motivated. You can earn points and levels for exercising. Compete with your friends for points and finally view and save your friends workouts. Updown also has a custom workout tool available, for those that are a bit more advanced and you can create your own workout from scratch.

You can pick up Updown Fitness from the Google Play Store today, it’s completely free, and works with Android 4.1 and above.
