Huawei To Sell Honor Devices Through Retail Stores In India

Huawei is one of the most successful smartphone manufacturers this year. This China-based company has increased their sales and profits quite a bit, and have also managed to climb up the ladder and become the third-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Huawei has released quite a few really interesting devices this year, including their Mate 8 flagship phablet, Mate S smartphone, and the Android Wear-powered Huawei Watch smartwatch which is considered to be one of the sleekest smartwatches available at the moment. That being said, the company has also unveiled a number of mid-range devices which belong in their ‘Honor’ line of smartphones, read on.

The company’s Honor-branded smartphones have improved quite a bit, and Honor 7 is a great example of that. This metal-clad handset offers a really solid set of specs, and is quite affordable, though there are a couple of such devices Huawei has introduced in 2014 and 2015 actually. That being said, the company’s devices were available through online stores exclusively in India thus far, but that’s about to change soon. The company has partnered up with Zooper, and thanks to that partnership, Huawei’s Honor devices will land in 267 outlets in select Indian cities (Delhi NCR, Chennai, Vellore, Pondicherry, and Bangalore). ”We are very encouraged with the response we have received for our Honor smartphones in India, including the Honor 4X, Honor 6 Plus and Honor 7. To reinforce our commitment towards our customers in India, and allow a higher level of access to Honor smartphones, we have decided to introduce Honor smartphones in the offline sales channel, which starts with the tie-up with Zopper, which allow customers to choose the retailer offering the best price for a product,” said Allen Wang, President of Consumer Business Group at Huawei India.

Another thing that is worth mentioning here is the fact that the company’s Honor devices will not be more expensive just because you’re buying them offline. Huawei will keep the pricing of their Honor devices the same no matter where you purchase them, which is great to hear. That is it for now, we’ll report back if we stumble upon any additional info.
