Lenovo has been somewhat quiet as far as smartphone launches go. We do expect the company to attend CES next month where they will probably release new hardware, but the company has also been teasing the arrival of another ‘K Note’ phone. Lenovo has released several teasers recently, all of which pointed towards the announcement of the K4 Note handset, the direct successor to the K3 Note which has been announced back in March.
The company’s ‘K Note’ line of devices is actually mid-range, but they are getting better with each new iteration actually. The company has recently confirm that the K4 Note will arrive in January, and today they’ve released yet another teaser which confirms that it will launch on January 5th in India. Lenovo’s earlier teasers have revealed that the device will be made out of brushed metal, and that it will sport a fingerprint scanner on the back, while Dolby Atmos will also be included in this package. This China-based company has also let users comment on how much RAM they’d like to be included in this device, they gave them several options, and 99% of them voted for the most RAM offered, 3GB, which was to be expected. As far as sheer specs go, we still don’t have any info on that, it is possible Lenovo will share at least partial specs before they announce this handset next month.
The Lenovo K3 Note is actually one of the most successful Lenovo-branded handsets to date. Lenovo has managed to sell quite a few of these mid-ranger, and they’ve sold over 1 million of them in India alone last month. Now, Lenovo is hoping that the K4 Note will be as successful as the K3 Note, if not even more successful. The K3 Note was quite an affordable device, and in order for its sequel to be nearly as tempting, Lenovo will have to price this thing right. That is more or less it, the company will announce this handset in about two weeks, on January 5th, so stay tuned for additional info, we’ll report back as soon as possible.
