Letv is a rather interesting China-based company. This company has entered the smartphone world by introducing three ‘Le Superphone’ devices back in April, and they’re mainly selling their smartphones in Asia at the moment, but that will change soon. The company has opened up their online shop, called LeMall, in the U.S. a while back, and even though only accessories are available though LeMall at the moment, Letv plans to change that early next year. The company will make the announcement during CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas in January.
That being said, the Le Max ‘Superphone’ is still Letv’s most powerful handset released to date. This phablet has been selling really well in China, and it seems like it will land in India early next year. Letv has confirmed that the Le Max will be announced in India on January 5th. The Letv Le Max sports a 6-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor along with an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics rendering. The 21-megapixel OIS shooter (Sony’s IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture) can be found on the back of this smartphone, and a 4-megapixel snapper (OmniVision’s OV4688 sensor, 81.6-degree wide-angle lens) is located up front. The 3,400mAh battery is also a part of this package, and so is the fingerprint scanner which is located on the phone’s back side. This handset comes with two SIM card slots, and offers 4G LTE connectivity. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with the company’s EUI skin installed on top of Google’s Android OS. The device measures 167.1 x 83.5 x 8.95mm, while it weighs 204 grams.
That’s pretty much it as far as Le Max goes. It is worth mentioning, however, that the company plans to launch some additional phones in India as well, the Le Max won’t be the only one. We still don’t know if any additional devices will be announced on January 5th, but Letv definitely aims to introduce additional handsets in early 2016, so stay tuned for that.
