LG is one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world, but this company actually manufactures all kinds of other tech, as you probably already know. LG is, much like Samsung, manufacturing all sorts of other tech, from TVs and smartwatches, to air conditioning systems and smart vacuums. Well, the company has announced quite recently that they’re going to release an upgraded lineup of their CordZero products during CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas which will kick off in early January, read on.
The most interesting products LG will announce in this lineup is the HOM-BOT Turbo+ device, which is a robotic vacuum cleaner equipped with augmented reality technology. This vacuum cleaner is actually the first of its kind, the first to sport such augmented reality tech, and it will be interesting to see it in action. LG will also announce the CordZero Canister, the 2-in-1 CordZero handstick, and the CordZero Bedding Cleaner, all of which will be a part of the company’s CordZero lineup.
That being said, let’s talk more about the HOM-BOT Turbo+. Now, this robotic vacuum cleaner uses LG’s augmented reality tech with a smart feature named ‘Home-Joy’. Now, the most interesting feature HOM-BOT Turbo+ will have, is the ability to recognize instructions you set via your smartphone’s camera. You’ll be able to show to the robot which area of the house you’d like it to clean using the camera sensor on basically any smartphone, which is quite interesting and kind of intuitive. This robot comes equipped with Triple Eye camera sensors which will record surrounding area in order for the robot to know the areas that it has cleaned, and those that he has not. There are some other features built-in this robotic vacuum, like Home-View and Home-Guard. The former will transmit a real-time feed from the robot to your smartphone, and the latter will basically serve as a home security system. The robot will be able to send you images of your home to your smartphone, and also detect movements. The HOM-BOT Turbo+ is also equipped with Robonavi, which is an intelligent software which utilizes HOM-BOT’s dual CPU in order to give him directional data.
All in all, the HOM-BOT Turbo+ seems like a really interesting products, and it will surely going to be interesting to see what it can do in real life.
