Micromax is the largest India-based smartphone manufacturer. This company is still trailing behind Samsung as far as general market share goes, but Micromax is doing really good in India. Micromax is, however, selling their devices in India only for now, and it will be interesting to see if they intend on expanding anytime soon. Anyhow, the company has had an interesting announcement to share with the general public today, so let’s see what’s that all about.
Micromax has partnered up with TranServ in order to join the likes of some other companies who offer mobile payment solutions, like Google, Apple and Samsung, for example. TranServ is actually one of the biggest India-based mobile payment companies, and thanks to Micromax’s partnership with this company, the users will be able to conduct financial and social transactions (sending / receiving money, splitting bills, sending gifts and making payments through native phone integration) via their handsets. ”Our vision is to enable users to enjoy a seamless and delightful experience across categories like Hospitality, Travel, Healthcare, Entertainment, E-commerce or Payments where we populate the gaps to map their digital journey to their fulfilled world. The growth in mobile payments has a lot to do with the ease of payment and tight integration with popular services. And our partnership with TranServ will bring Indian consumers, the most convenient & easy way to mirror their life on the fast evolving internet and mobile ecosystem.” said Vikas Jain, co-founder of Micromax Informatics.
Now, Micromax and TranServ didn’t really lay out all the details for us to check out, but they will quite probably do that in the near future. All we know at the moment is what sort of transactions will you be able to make, which was mentioned earlier in the article, and that’s pretty much it. On top of all this, TranServ has also said that they’ve partnered with a number o banks in order to expand the financial services being offered as part of this deal. Either way, these are great news for those of you who live in India. That being said, stay tuned for additional info, as soon as Micromax and TranServ release more details, we’ll let you know.
