Cut the Rope was one of the more popular Android games around (touting over 750 million downloads for the series), and now it’s back with a whole new game to add on to the very successful series. Cut the Rope: Magic debuted on the Play Store on Thursday, bringing Om Nom back to your smartphone and cutting ropes. In this new game, Om Nom is looking to defeat the evil spider wizard, which has stolen all of his candy. So throughout the game you are going through levels in an attempt to destroy the evil spider wizard, and get the candy back for Om Nom. The game is pretty simple, Om Nom swings on ropes through the level and by cutting the rope, he’s able to move about on the level. Pretty simple, but still very addicting.
The updated Cut the Rope brings a refresh to the physics-puzzle gameplay. Cut the Rope: Magic has over 100 levels that players are able to play and solve. Coinciding with the name of the game, Om Nom will also transform into new forms. These include a bird, a fish, a mouse and even a baby. Cut the Rope: Magic will get even more forms and levels for you to play and complete in a future update as well. So you’ll want to stay tuned for that. Cut the Rope was a pretty addictive game, and there’s no doubt that Cut the Rope: Magic will be an addictive one as well.
Available on the Google Play Store as well as Amazon Underground, Cut the Rope: Magic is free to play. It also comes with in-app purchases that range from $0.99 all the way up to $99. So the developers are making some money off of you, but at least it is a freemium app for you to play. It is also compatible with Android 4.0 and up for tablets and smartphones. This will be a great game to play this holiday season when you’re there bored with the family. It’s a great time-waster game as well for those times you’re sitting at the doctor’s office waiting your turn and such.
