OnePlus has celebrated the company’s birthday yesterday, and has had some announcements to make. Among the announcements, Carl Pei, the CEO of OnePlus, has mentioned that the Champagne version of OnePlus X will become available soon to additional markets. Now. this version of OnePlus’ newest handset has been exclusive to China for quite some time, while the Onyx and Ceramic variants had a much wider availability. The Champagne Edition of OnePlus X will be available during OnePlus’ weekly open sales. Those of you who have an invite to get this variant fo the device, however, will be able to buy it on basically any day. In case you don’t know, Tuesday is the invite-free day in case you’d like to buy OnePlus X, this Champagne variant included. The ‘Champagne Edition’ naming might confuse you considering this device is not colored that way entirely, only its sides are painted in different color, the base color of the device is white actually. In case you’re interested in this variant of the device, you’ll have to wait until December 22nd, and keep in mind that the rollout begins in Europe.
The OnePlus X Champagne Editions sports the same specs as the other two variants of the device. The handset features a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC, and a 2,525mAh battery is also available here, and it is not removable. The 13-megapixel shooter is available on the back of this handset, and an 8-megapixel snapper is located up front. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with OnePlus’ Oxygen OS available on top of it. This is a dual-SIM handset, and it measures 140 x 69 x 6.9mm, while it weighs 138 grams.
