In the holiday season, we are used to seeing deals in electronics and mobile devices. The fiscal year of many companies is coming to an end, so they might as well try and attract new customers. Additionally, new devices are getting announced in the coming months, so it’s a good time to clear up their inventories. We’ve already seen numerous deals from carriers including an extra bonus if users leave their carrier and sign up a contract with another one. Now, the Canadian carrier Rogers is discounting a handful of flagship and mid-range phones to make them more accessible.
The discounted phones are offered in a 2-year contract in one of the Premium Tab Plans, which include data, text and talk time, and the following prices are available starting tomorrow, December 18th. There are serious discounts out there, some even exceeding $300. Some iPhone 6 models are being discounted and all versions of the iPhone 6 Plus are getting some discounts too. The list of devices running Android include Google’s Nexus 6P, which was made in collaboration with Huawei and has been very well reviewed, this phone usually costs $199.99 in contract and now it’s being discounted to $99.99. From LG, last year’s G3 and this year’s G4, which usually cost $149.99 with contract, now they’re both priced at $99.99.
From Samsung, the Galaxy A5 and last year’s flagship Galaxy S5 now start at $0, so you can choose between a metallic design or better specs, both of them are usually $99.99 in contract. The Galaxy S5 Neo usually runs for $149.99 in contract and starting tomorrow you can get it for $0. Going into this year’s flagship models, the Galaxy Note 5 phablet with 32 GB can be purchased for $359.99 in contract and it’s getting discounted to $309.99, the 64 GB version is now $324.99 from $424.99. The Galaxy S6 with 32 GB will now cost $99.99 with a contract, down from $249.99, the 64 GB version will be $149.99 down from $359.99 and the 128 GB version will be priced at $249.99 while regularly it would cost $469.99. The Galaxy S6 Edge in its 32 GB, 63 GB or 128 GB versions will be priced just like the regular Galaxy S6, so it represents better savings, as it was previously priced at $349.99 for the 32 GB version, $459.99 for the 64 GB version and $569.99 for the 128 GB version. Finally, the larger Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be priced at $359.99 for the 32 GB version down from $459.99 and the 64 GB version will cost $459.99 down from $559.99.
