Among the sea of apps out on Android and mobile devices catering to individuals who want to stream music to their phones and tablets, Deezer is an option that many more users soon might become familiar with. The team behind the app has just rolled out the most recent update to Deezer Music, and it brings in a handful of changes geared towards helping you listen to more of the music that you enjoy on a daily basis. In a blog post, Deezer’s VP of Product and Head of Product Design go through their reasons for outfitting the app with a newly redesigned experience, and what they wanted to achieve in doing so.
As part of the new changes, Deezer is now equipped to help you enjoy the music you love more quickly. The tweaks seem to be all about speed and simplicity. Browsing music is boasted to be much faster than prior to the update, and searching for music is now easier than ever. To accomplish this, Deezer is now outfitted with a tab bar at the top of the app for navigation between the homepage, the “my music” tab, the notifications tab, and the search tab, instead of keeping the hamburger menu like before where all of these options were previously hidden. With things out in the open usability should be much more snappy so you can spend less time finding what you want and more time listening to it.
While the tabs are there to take you to a specific page with slightly differing features, the idea with this new redesign was also so that users have to switch between tabs as little as possible. Also part of the new redesign, all of a user’s favorite music can be found right on the “my music” tab with access to playlists, favorite tracks, albums, and downloaded songs so you can jump right to what you’re looking for with less effort. Now with the new tweaks, music can be more easily organized, more easily found, and more easily listened to for an overall more enjoyable experience than what was offered before.
