Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have been amongst the most popular devices this year, as it’s usually the case with the company’s flagship line of devices. The Galaxy S6 smartphones have evolved quite a bit compared to the Galaxy S5 which was announced back in 2014, the company has opted to manufacture flagships made out of metal and glass this time around, which made them both look and feel more premium, for sure. We’ve seen quite a few Galaxy S7 rumors thus far, and the phone isn’t expected to be announced before February / March next year. That being said, a rather interesting leak has popped up online, read on.
I don’t know if you recall, but a previous rumor has reported that Samsung plans on releasing two sizes of their Galaxy S7 flagship next year, the smaller Galaxy S7 and the bigger Galaxy S7 Plus devices. They basically intend to do what they did with the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus this year it seems. Anyhow, we haven’t really seen all that many Galaxy S7 leaks in general, only rumors, but today a new Galaxy S7 Plus leak has surfaced, read on. If you take a look below this article, you’ll notice that we’ve included a video, as well as a gallery filled with the alleged Galaxy S7 Plus CAD renders. This material was releasing by both uSwitch and @OnLeaks (in cooperation), and the sources claim that the info is legit.
If you take a look at the device itself, you’ll notice that it resembles its predecessor quite a bit. This actually goes hand-in-hand with the recent report which claimed that Samsung Galaxy S7 won’t be all that much different than its predecessor in terms of the design. Anyhow, the smartphone showed in this video / images still sports a metallic frame and glass on both its front and back sides. The phone does look somewhat different, but still resembles the Galaxy S6 quite a bit. Its power / lock physical button is placed on the right, and the volume rocker buttons are still on its left-hand side. The speaker grill is placed on the bottom, as is the 3.5mm headphone jack, as is was on the Galaxy S6.
There are some slight changes here, but the device definitely looks very similar to the Galaxy S6, perhaps even too similar. As it’s usually the case, take this leak with a grain of salt, and you can also expect a ton more similar leaks to surface in the coming weeks. It is also worth mentioning that the Galaxy S7 (Plus) is said to ship in two variants, one fueled by the Snapdragon 820 SoC, and the other one with Samsung’s very own Exynos 8890 processor. The source also claims that the Galaxy S7 Plus will sport a 6-inch display, and that USB Type-C won’t be a part of the package. The microSD card slot won’t be available here, and the rear-facing shooter will host a 12 or 16-megapixel sensor.
