Bezel-Less Elephone P9000 Edge Unveiled, 4GB Of RAM In Tow

Elephone is a company we’ve talked quite frequently about lately. This company has introduced some really interesting devices in 2015, and we’ve reviewed a number of them as well. The Elephone Vowney is the most powerful handset this company has ever introduced, and we knew that more interesting announcements are right around the corner considering the company announced a press event for January 15th. That being said, the press conference is well on the way (at the time of writing this article), and Elephone has already announced the most interesting device of the day, the bezel-less Elephone P9000 Edge, read on.

We’ve already shared quite a few leaks when it comes to the Elephone P9000 Edge, and it seems like the info was spot on. This smartphone sports a very sleek design all around, thanks to no bezels on the sides, and the metallic frame. The Elephone P9000 Edge features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone is fueled by the all-new Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor, which is MediaTek’s newest mid-range SoC. The Elephone P9000 Edge also sports a 3,000mAh battery on the inside, which supports Quick Charge technology (9V / 2.5A). This basically means that you’ll be able to charge up your device from 0 to 100% in 70 minutes. The 21-megapixel shooter (Sony’s IMX230 sensor) is present on the back of this phone, and the Laser Autofocus is also available along with the LED flash. The 8-megapixel snapper can be found up front, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this device, though Elephone did put a light skin on part of the UI. It is also worth mentioning that the P9000 Edge offers support for NFC, wireless charging and sports a USB Type-C port on the bottom of the device. This device is 8mm thick, just in case you were wondering.

Now, if you take a look at the images down below, you’ll get to see this handset in the flesh. Unfortunately, the Elephone P9000 Edge is still not available for purchase, Elephone only said that it will be available soon (coming months). The company hasn’t shared the pricing of this phone either, but we do expect them to do that soon. They’ve also introduced two additional P9000 devices (P9000 and P9000 Lite) during the conference, and also the Elephone W2 smartwatch. We’ll talk about these three devices in a separate post which will be published soon, stay tuned.
