BlackBerry's Virtual Expert Hits Android For PRIV Owners

Although the BlackBerry PRIV smartphone has been out just a few months we are still seeing some great additions being added. Being the first Android-powered smartphone that BlackBerry has released, the PRIV has been a popular device among BlackBerry’s addition of ever growing smartphones. BlackBerry, among its many growing apps it has released over the years, is now porting over an app to Android to give many PRIV smartphone users who don’t already have the app a chance to add it to their library. The BlackBerry Virtual Expert allows users to run various diagnostics on their device to manage problems they could be encountering. Users can run certain diagnostics within the app if they have certain problems targeting their phone. This will allow them to pinpoint malfunctioning that could be occurring from within their phone on anything like speakers, keyboard, display problems, and camera defects. With this simple app install, free from the Google Play Store, BlackBerry Virtual Expert is an app that should be adopted among all manufacturing smartphone companies.

When BlackBerry first launched the PRIV in October of last year the phone did not ship with the diagnostic app available even though it had been on BlackBerry 10 for quite some time. The Virtual Expert tool can provide all sorts of awesome information and features many different accessible applications. The app not only gives you real-time information on your devices overall health standing but includes easy access to your devices model, software, and build numbers as well as providing statistics about your batteries health. Including such information like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections along with storage and network data, you’re able to manage your device knowing that your mind can be put at ease as the app will guide and direct you to any problems you might occur during your phone’s lifespan.

The BlackBerry PRIV, once called, “Venice” features an ultra thin body which can also be slid up to reveal a hardware keyboard making for a great feel in the hands. Its 5.4-inch dual curved screen has an amazing 2560 x 1440 AMOLED display with a whopping 540ppi (pixel per inch). It’s powered by a 1.44GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and comes with 3GB of RAM. The PRIV sells for $699 on BlackBerry’s own website and can be bought through AT&T. The BlackBerry PRIV will also be sold through T-Mobile while Sprint and Verizon will be selling the device sometime this year.
