The Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas is now in full swing, in its second official day of being open. CES 2016 has brought us all types of new toys to play with in the coming months. Audio Technica, one of the more popular companies making audio products, has a few things to share with us. Including the new AT-LP60-BT. Now what this is, is a wireless – using Bluetooth – turntable. Yes the turntable is making a comeback in 2016 it appears. It supports playback of vinyl formats of LP albums to 12-inch and 7-inch singles. It’s a great looking turntable, and arguably much smaller than they were years ago.
Audio Technica also showed off a couple new pairs of headphones. Including the ATH-MSR7, and the ATH-SR5. Now the ATH-MSR7 are a pair of over-ear, high resolution audio headphones. These retail for about $250, and also feature 45mm True Motion drivers. These drivers use lightweight voice coils, as well as a custom mounted printed circuit board and a diaphragm that has been specially designed to minimize sound distortion. The ATH-SR5 on the other hand, are also on-ear, high resolution audio headphones from Audio Technica. Paired with 45mm high-resolution audio drivers, and cost about $150.
