Hands-On With The Carl Zeiss VR ONE

One of the really big trends in tech over the last year was virtual reality. In spite of what has seemed to be a slow emerging of the market, this certainly looks to be one of the markets which has real potential for 2016. Of course, one of the most highly talked about VR units right now is the HTC Vive Pre which was recently unveiled at CES. However, Vive Pre is likely to be a unit which comes with a high price tag. In contrast, a much more affordable headset has made the headlines routinely since 2014 and this is the VR ONE by Carl Zeiss.

The VR ONE is a VR unit which is used in conjunction with your smartphone and similar to the Gear VR by Samsung. This week during CES, Carl Zeiss has the VR ONE on show and is currently highlighting just what the VR ONE can do. By pairing it with a drone application and then also with a select number of drones, the VR ONE is able to offer the user a first person view of the camera mounted on the drone. Not to mention, you can control the view of the drone by moving your head in any direction. You can check out some images of the VR ONE in the gallery below.
