One of the more interesting things at CES this week was CellRboto, a tiny little robot that is actually made of up multiple round parts. These little balls are almost like individual robots and can be fashioned together in number of different ways for different uses. CellRobot’s slogan is “your only limit is your imagination,” which is pretty spot on. The makers of this device – Keyi Tech, have created CellRobot to work like the cells inside of our bodies, and as such the individual balls all link together but work as one cohesive unit.
The CellRobot is modular and the connectors that link the individual parts together are universal, so you can basically set them up however you want. Some of the connector parts have wheels while you can also add a unit with a camera so you can see what’s going on as you control the CellRobot which is done through the use of a companion app. CellRobot has also made it possible to share your robot ideas with other users to give it a more social aspect.
