CES 2016 is in full swing and while the majority of people have already made their announcements, that leaves us to roam the floors of the convention halls and hotel rooms to get some hands-on time with the latest and greatest gadgets that have been announced this year in Las Vegas. Sony held their press event earlier this week and while it was a little more understated than previous years they did have some good stuff to announce. One of the main areas Sony expanded upon was their h.ear range of audio products. Sony has always offered up great in-ear headphones and over-ear headphones, but they’ve often been confusingly named, such as the MDR-1A or otherwise.
The h.ear line is designed to be simple, high-quality and good-looking without being ostentatious. They announced over-ear and in-ear headphones last year at IFA 2015, but this year they used CES 2016 to expand their lineup. Sony introduced a wireless version of the h.ear over ear headphones, pictured above, and they also introduced a new pair of wireless earbuds that sit around the wearer’s neck. Both of these support Sony’s Hi-Res audio, which is basically 24-bit audio and they’re all available in a range of different colors. Furthermore, they revamped their Bluetooth speaker line, bringing them into the h.ear range while also adding Google Cast support.
