A few days back Lenovo officially announced their ThinkPad 13 running Chrome OS, which is slated for a launch this Summer with a more specific release time frame for the month of June. It’s set at a cost of $399 which doesn’t make it the most affordable Chromebook out there, but it also isn’t the only option in that price range. Lenovo is currently showcasing the ThinkPad 13 which allowed us to get up and close and personal with to check out the specs and see it from every angle.
For $399, Lenovo’s Chrome OS laptop comes equipped with a 13-inch display and it’s powered by Intel’s latest i5 processor, the 6th Gen Core i5 vPro. The laptop will come in different models each with a varied amount of RAM and storage, although Lenovo hasn’t confirmed what those exact specifications would be for the Chrome OS version yet. When it comes to the ports the ThinkPad 13 running Chrome OS will feature USB Type-C ports as well as two standard USB ports, an HDMI out, an SD reader, and a 3.5mm audio port.
