Hands-On With The Ring Stick Up Cam

Smart home products are looking to be a dime a dozen at this year’s CES, and part of the smart home category are security cameras. One of the options we have had the ability to check out up close is the Stick Up Cam from Ring, which sounds a little silly when you first say it out loud but it begins to make sense when you realize that “stick up” is an actual reference to how you set up the camera. This is meant to be paired with the Ring video door bell, as the Stick Up Cam is capable of providing additional coverage where the doorbell can’t see, but you aren’t required to hook up the doorbell and you can optionally set just the Stick Up Cam in place if you wish.

The Stick Up Cam is capable of recording HD video with or without night vision, and any video recorded regardless of the time of day can be stored in the cloud for easy access to footage later or it can be stored locally. It also features motion detection and two-way audio, and it boasts a six to twelve-month battery life with regular usage as it carries a 5200mAh battery inside.
