Hands-On With The ZTE Avid Plus

Yesterday, ZTE announced the launch of two new handsets. While these are not top of the range devices (or even mid-range), they are devices which are designed to offer a decent level of specs for the money. The two devices are the ZTE Grand X3 and the ZTE Avid Plus. In terms of the latter, the ZTE Avid Plus is an entry-level device and is one which is due to come to T-Mobile and MetroPCS by the end of this month and likely to be priced at the $115 marker.

In terms of the specs, the ZTE Avid Plus comes equipped with a 5-inch display, which makes use of an 854 x 480 resolution. Inside, the ZTE Avid Plus comes loaded with 1GB RAM and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 Quad-core processor. Cameras on offer include a 5-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with a 2-megapixel front facing camera. Storage is set at 8GB and there is a microSD card slot for expansion if needed. The Avid Plus comes powered by a 2,300 mAh battery, while the device comes running on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.
