Moto 360 Sport Headed to Verizon on Jan. 7th

The Moto 360 second generation was announced back at IFA in September 2015, and Motorola announced two models (well really about four, as the regular Moto 360 comes in 42mm, 44mm and a Women’s version). The Moto 360 Sport just became available last month, and it’s a smartwatch that is meant for those that are active runners and such. Using Google Fit as well as Moto Body, you can keep track of your stats on your wrist. That includes the calories you’ve burned, steps you’ve taken each day and more. Using the Google Fit or the Moto Body app, you can keep track of how much you’ve ran today, as well as your heart rate, since there is a built-in heart rate monitor. Motorola also has built-in GPS, so using apps like Runtastic mean you can track your run on a map and encourage yourself to run further each day.

It’s a pretty decent smartwatch from Motorola. It still does everything that the regular Moto 360 second generation does, but it’s a bit more focused on fitness and such. And on January 7th, it’s making its way on over to Verizon Wireless. The Moto 360 Sport is going to be available for $299, and in black, flame and white colors. Unfortunately, it will be available online only and not available in store. However if you do want to check out the Moto 360 Sport before buying, head on over to Best Buy, they do have it on display for you.

One of the more popular New Years Resolutions every year is to get in shape. The Moto 360 Sport is a great smartwatch to help you out with that. Help you get a bit more active, which will lead to getting in more shape than you were in 2015. Fitbit also has a couple great accessories for getting more active. Including the Fitbit Charge, and the Fitbit Blaze was announced yesterday at CES 2016. It’s up for pre-order now at $199, and is a fitness smartwatch as well, but does not run on Android Wear, unfortunately. It’s a modular watch, so you can swap out the straps and such as you choose.
