Motorola has introduced a couple of interesting devices last year, and the Moto X Force could be the most compelling out of the bunch. This smartphone was introduced back in November, and is basically a re-branded DROID Turbo 2 handset which launched on Verizon in October. The Moto X Force has a rather limited availability, but it seems like Motorola will add another country to that list soon. Motorola India has decided to tease the arrival of Moto X Force to the country, read on.
The company has teased the arrival of this handset by sharing the promo video (which is embedded down below), and using the ”Are you one amongst 40% of people who are deathly scared of dropping their phones?” caption. Now, the promo video you can check out down below was originally shared back in November, and it shows off a number of devices being dropped, including the Moto X Force. The point of this video is to show off X Force’s durability and the phone’s ‘Shaterproof’ display. Now, we still don’t know when will this handset going to be announced, but the company’s India General Manager has confirmed that it will arrive before the end of this month, which means we’ll see it launch in the next two weeks.
The Motorola Moto X Force sports a 5.4-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED panel, 3GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage, depending on which variant you get. The storage in this smartphone is expandable, you can expand it up to 200GB via a microSD card. The 21-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture, PDAF) is placed on the back of the Moto X Force, and a 5-megapixel unit is placed on the front side of this phone. The 3,760mAh non-removable battery ships with this device, and fast charging is also a part of this package. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Moto X Force, while the Marshmallow update is right around the corner. The Moto X Force measures 149.8 x 78 x 9.2mm, while it weighs 169 grams. The phone is currently available in Ballistic Nylon color option only, and chances are that will be the only color available in India as well, unless Motorola decided to release an additional option along with the announcement of this phone.
