OnePlus has introduced two smartphones this year, the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X. The OnePlus 2 is the company’s new flagship, while the OnePlus X is the mid-range offering. That being said, many of you are familiar with OnePlus’ invite-only policy, well, neither of these devices were available for open purchase back when they launched, you needed to have an invite to buy them. That’s not the case any longer with the OnePlus 2, the device is available to every directly from OnePlus (presuming you’re in a region where it is available).
The OnePlus X, on the other hand, has been available for open purchase once a week for quite some time now, and OnePlus has decided to put an end to that as well. The company has announced through their official website that the OnePlus X is now available for everyone invite-free 24/7. ”We’re extremely excited to be making the OnePlus X invite-free more quickly this time around. So, as long as you live in a region where you can order directly from OnePlus’ website, you can now order OnePlus X without an invite whenever you want.

The OnePlus Power Bank, on the other hand, got a bit more expensive. The company said that they were losing money by selling the Power Bank for $14.99, and due to the increased costs in both the manufacturing and operations, they had to increase the cost of the Power Bank to $19.00. Now, keep in mind that the Power Bank is still $14.99 on OnePlus’ store, you have 7 days to buy it before the price hike comes to effect.
For those of you who are not that familiar with the OnePlus X, that is a very well-specced and affordable mid-ranger, which is made out of metal and glass. The device actually looks quite premium, and ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop with Oxygen OS on top of it. This essentially means you get a rather stock experience, but OnePlus did add some additional functionality to it.
