Panasonic Eluga Turbo Unveiled With 3GB Of RAM & 5" Display

Panasonic isn’t exactly a company we hear much from in terms of smartphone technology. This Japan-based company does release a few smartphones a year, and mostly sell those in Asian markets, especially India. The company has introduced the Lumix CM10 smart camera earlier this month, and they’ve now announced a new smartphone as well, a device which launched in India, read on.

The device in question is Eluga Turbo, and it comes with a rather solid set of specs. The Eluga Turbo features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card). This handset is fueled by a 64-bit octa-core processor running at 1.5GHz, and a 2,350mAh battery is available on the inside. The 13-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of the Eluga Turbo, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. This phone offers 4G LTE connectivity, and Andriod 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with Panasonic’s FitHome UI. The phone measures 142.4 x 71.2 x 6.95mm, in case you were wondering. The Eluga Turbo is a sleek looking handset, as you can see in the images down below. It sports a metallic frame, which is placed in between two sheets of glass. The phone’s power / lock and volume rocker buttons are placed on the right, and on the left side of this device you’ll notice the SIM card tray.

”India’s technology market in 2016 will be focusing on ‘Make in India’ and 4G enabled devices as an innovation-driven economy has led to the expansion of software and services. With the rollout of 4G/LTE telecommunications technology, we have developed new 4G/LTE compatible models across our product range. The objective of Eluga Turbo is to provide consumers with a premium design and performance,” said Pankaj Rana, Business Head of Panasonic India’s Mobility Division. The comes in three color options, Marine Blue (pictured below), Champagne Gold and Rose Gold. The phone is priced at Rs. 10,999 in India, and you can already register for a flash sale if you’d like. The phone will be available exclusively through SnapDeal, and the first sale is scheduled for January 27th.
