Samsung To Release Gear S2 & Gear VR In India Soon

Samsung is the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer. This Korea-based company has released a number of smartphones last year, but they’ve also introduced the Gear S2 smartwatch, which is regarded to be one of the best smartwatches of 2015. Now, this smartwatch is available in a number of markets around the world at the moment, but is not available in India, that might change soon though, read on.

According to a new report, the Gear S2 smartwatch will be announced in India later this month. The report also mentions that Samsung will introduce the Gear VR headset as well, something that also hasn’t been available in a country thus far, despite the fact it was announced back in 2014. The source doesn’t mention when will these two products launch in India, but it will surely happen before the end of January. As a side note, Samsung has introduced the dual-SIM variant of their Galaxy Note 5 flagship phablet earlier today, so it seems like we’ll see quite a few Samsung-branded devices launched in this Asian country this month.

The Gear S2 smartwatch is available in regular ‘sporty’ variant, and the ‘Classic’ variant. The Classic variant sports a different, more refined design, and it’s more expensive than the standard Gear S2. We still don’t know if only one, or both of these models will roll out to the Indian smartphone market, but we will find out soon enough. Chances are, however, that Samsung plans to launch both variants, as they did in the vast majority of other markets. The Gear VR’s pricing is also unknown at the moment, but you can expect it to cost somewhere between $99 and $130, at least that’s our estimate considering it costs $99 in the US, and when such products roll out to India they tend to be a bit more expensive.

That is pretty much it, these two products will be announced by Samsung soon, if the source is to be believed, of course. We’ll make sure to let you know as soon as we get some additional info when it comes to either the Gear S2 or Gear VR, so stay tuned for that.
