Video: Acer Predator 8 Unboxing

Acer is a company that has been around for quite some time making plenty of devices in a wide range of product categories. One of their more recent device launches towards the end of last year was the Predator 8 tablet they announced earlier in 2015. The Predator 8 is Acer’s showing that they are just as much capaable of delivering a prodcut that focuses on mobile gaming as any other company, and right off the bat the Predator 8 certainly looks the part. At $299 for the retail cost, the Predator 8 is not the cheapest option for a tablet capable of mobile gaming, that isn’t to say that the cost isn’t worth it either though.

The Predator 8 is equipped with an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, and it comes powered by an Intel Atom x7-Z8700 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, alongside 32GB or 64GB of internal storage space with expandable storage as an option and 2GB of RAM. It houses four front-facing stereo speakers as well as a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, and keeping it all going there’s a 4420mAh battery on the inside. The Predator 8 is running Android 5.1 Lollipop, and the overall design definitely has a look to it that follows the design scheme of Acer’s other gaming machines and products.
