ZTE’s subsidiary, Nubia, had plenty to say during CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas which took place earlier this month. The company has not only showcased their products, but has also announced the availability of the nubia.com, their official international website. Nubia was strictly focused on Asia until this announcement, but it seems like it will become a global brand soon enough.
That being said, the company has been teasing their Prague S handset for a while now, and have announced that the device will be announced on January 18th. Well, today’s the day, and Nubia has unveiled this smartphone, let’s see what it has to offer, shall we. The Nubia Prague S sports an anodized aluminum frame, and a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED 2.5D curved display on the front, with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. The device will ship with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This handset is fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor, along with an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel shooter (f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens) is placed on the back of this smartphone, and an 8-megapixel snapper (f/2.4 aperture, 78-degree wide-angle lens) can be found up front. The 2,200mAh battery can be found on the inside, and offers fast charging capabilities (0-25% in 10 minutes, according to the company). Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with ZTE’s Nubia UI 3.0 on top of it, and two SIM card slots (micro + nano SIM) are available on the inside as well. This handset offers 4G LTE connectivity, and it also packs in an AKM4375 HI-Fi audio chip, 7.1-channel Dolby audio and Dolby decoder.

The Nubia Prague S will be available in Rose Gold and Silver color options, and will cost 2,499 Yuan ($380) in China. The phone is already available for pre-order from JingDong Mall (JD.com), and it will be available for purchase starting on January 23rd.
