Endless Runner games are a great style for mobile because they’re easy to pick up and play, they can last for hours but you can also play them for just 5 minutes and not feel like it was time wasted. There’s also a constant supply of games in the genre because they’re popular and more titles keep releasing. If you enjoy endless runner games as much as we do, here are 10 of the top endless runner games to check out if you have some free time this weekend.

Star Chasers

Kicking off the list is Star Chasers which is a fairly new title, but that doesn’t make it any less worthy of being included. The goal is to rescue fallen stars and along the way, you’ll encounter enemies, obstacles and power-ups to help you continue your journey.

Boson X

With Boson X you’re pretty much just seeing how far you can go before you lose and have to reset with minimal other elements save for the challenge of the rotating levels. It’s got a retro style feel to it with the visuals and a soundtrack to match.

Run Sackboy! Run!

If you’re a Sony PlayStation fan then you are likely well-versed with the popular Sackboy character from the Little Big Planet titles. Run Sackboy! Run! offers up a familiar character with unlockable costumes, power-ups, multiple level backdrops and more, and you can even enter challenges to compete with other players.

Speedy Ninja

Speedy Ninja amps things up with loads of action and an obvious ninja theme, allowing you to play as multiple ninja characters and popular music artist Steve Aoki. Run, jump, and slash your way through obstacles and enemies and unleash your ninja powers to help you.

Sonic Dash 2

This should need little introduction as Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the most iconic video game characters of all time. Thi si the sequel to the first game, and improves things with better visuals, new levels, new and more characters, and the same great fun.

Lara Croft Relic Run

If you’re a fan of the Tomb Raider series but also enjoy a bit of endless runner types on your mobile, then why not play a game that mashes up the two? There’s a whole lot more to just running as well, with artifact collection, costume unlocks, enemies to take down and the use of weapons and vehicles at certain points.

Subway Surfers

Yes, Subway Surfers is an older endless runner but it continues to win us over because it constantly adds new content and levels through updates. It’s also got pretty decent 3D graphics and it’s a game in the genre just about anyone of any age can enjoy.

Dash Quest

Endless runners are great, but what about an endless runner with some RPG elements mixed in? That’s what you get with Dash Quest as the main gameplay is seeing how far you can take your character just like any other endless runner, but you’ll also have boss fights, loot drops, and the ability to hack and slash at enemies for a wee bit of combat. It’s also got retro graphics and a retro style soundtrack for that full-on Nintendo like feel to it.

Rayman Adventures

Not quite your traditional endless runner as there are actually stages for you to go through and you can complete them, Rayman Adventures does have some endless runner elements mixed in with the platformer type gameplay and it works well especially for those who are fans of the Rayman franchise. As you run through each stage you’ll also be able to explore and collect items and companions to help you throughout the adventures.

Alto’s Adventure

Rounding out this list is a rather new game which just launched as of yesterday on Android, but it’s been winning accolades and loads of positive reviews from it’s time on iOS. It features beautiful artistic visuals and an extremely addicting style of gameplay as Alto, the main character who has to race down the mountain to gather up his llamas who have escaped. Along the way you can perform stunts to boost your speed, collect coins, and avoid obstacles like rocks and chasms. It’s a neat little endless runner that absolutely shouldn’t be missed.
