Find Places To Visit & Things To Do Using Vurb App

Facebook and Twitter are the most popular social networks out there, but in the last couple of years we’ve seen tons of other services launch, and some of the existing ones grew immensely. There are tons of options out there at the moment, various social networks offer different approaches to interacting with your contacts, and there’s always room for new ones which will bring something fresh to the table.

Speaking of which, we’ve recently stumbled upon a rather interesting app which can be considered a social network of sorts. The app in question is called ‘Vurb: Find & Save Things To Do’. Now, the developer says this app brings your favorite people, places, and things together, which is the general idea of this app. The app is here to offer you various information from various people and places, in order to help you to plan out your activities and what not. This app also offers a ‘Vurb Chat’, which is essentially a chat service which will let you message your contacts. You can also order an Uber or Lyft from within Vurb, you don’t need to get out of the app at all, which is neat.

Now, I’ve mentioned that Vurb lists various places for you, well, it also brings along various info about such places. Let’s take restaurants for example, Vurb will show you the restaurants nearby, and will also show you reviews for those restaurants. This is just an example, various info is available, including movies as well. You can read reviews from Foursquare, Yelp, Tastemade, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, and other Vurb users within this application. You can make reservations through OpenTable through Vurb, and much more, this app really does offer quite a few options.

As far as the design is concerned, Vurb also has plenty to offer. The design is quite minimalistic, and it combines white Google Now-like cards, with various other elements, but it didn’t feel too cramped, at least not for my taste. This application is free to download and use, if you’re interested, check out the official screenshots of the app in the gallery down below, and above that you’ll notice a direct link to the Google Play Store.
