Fitbit Blaze Tracker Super Bowl Trailer Now Online

It’s been just over a month since the American manufacturer of consumer electronics Fitbit announced Blaze, its latest fitness tracker, and the said device was the star of its first-ever Super Bowl commercial during yesterday’s Super Bowl 50. The 30-second video ad which you can watch below in its entirety tries to present as many functionalities of the upcoming wearable device as possible in an elegant manner by displaying it in real-life, everyday situations. And that’s no easy feat as Blaze among other things boasts a heart rate monitor, 15 different activity-tracking modes, on-screen workouts, call, text, and calendar alerts, automatic sleep tracking, silent alarm functionality, and a “high-resolution color touch screen” with multiple watch faces, as well as the ability to control the volume of music played on a smartphone it’s synced with. Better yet, Fitbit even claims that the device’s battery will last up to five days with light usage though it’s yet to be tested how light we’re talking about.

It’s still not entirely clear whether the octagonal wearable will be a fully-fledged smartwatch or “just” a fitness tracker, but there’s little doubt that Blaze is designed to be a slightly cheaper successor to last year’s Fitbit Surge which was deemed as a rather capable fitness tracker. From what Fitbit has revealed about the device so far, Blaze will seemingly come packed will all of the great tracking features Surge had last year, but will not only accompany them with additional smartwatch functionalities but will also make the entire package more “office-friendly” in terms of design and general look which is now much more stylish and watch-like. In other words, it seems like Fitbit will finally launch a device that people will actually want to wear even when they’re not doing cardio.

The commercial launch of Fitbit Blaze is scheduled for next month. The device will be available in two standard sizes and three colors – black, blue, and plum – and sold for $199.95 while the company will also be releasing two additional bands for it separately, one made out of leather and another stainless steel one which will cost $99.95 and $129.95 respectively. Both the wearable and additional bands can already be preordered from fitbit.com with a 45-day money back guarantee.
