As such, it will track your movements during the day, as well as monitoring your sleep levels at night. Reminders and alerts for calls, texts and calendar appointments are also included. Likewise, so is Fitbit’s SmartTrack technology, which allows the device to automatically begin monitoring and recording exercise activities without being prompted.
For those in the market for a new fitness tracker, the Fitbit Alta is now available to pre-order directly from Fitbit. It is being said that other online retailers including Amazon and Best Buy will also be opening their pre-orders from tomorrow. In terms of price, you are looking at $129.99 for the Alta and there is the option to buy additional/alternative straps. These consist of either rubberized, leather and stainless steel options with their cost increasing accordingly. The rubberized options will set you back $30, the leather options will cost $60 and the stainless steel option is priced at $100.
