With MWC just around the corner, all eyes are firmly fixated on two major events which are due to take place in Barcelona. One of them is Samsung’s event in which the company is expected to unveil their latest Galaxy range smartphone, the Galaxy S7 along with the Galaxy S7 Edge. The other event is for LG who are now confirmed to be unveiling their latest G series flagship device, the LG G5. In fact, with the rumors that have come through recently, the G5 in particular, is a device which is gaining a significant level of attention at the moment. The most recent of which emerged in the last 24 hours when LG confirmed that the G5 will come with an ‘Always On’ feature. Following that, it now seems that he LG G5 has been spotted being benchmarked on Geekbench.
In terms of the benchmark listing, the LG G5 comes listed with model number LGE LG-F700S. While benchmarks do not always provide too much information in the way of specs, this one does confirm some aspects which are worth noting. As to be expected, the LG G5 seems to be confirmed to be coming running on the latest version of Android, Marshmallow, in the form of Android 6.0.1. In addition, the benchmark seems to confirm that the LG G5 will come loaded with 4GB RAM and will be powered by the latest Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 820.
While this might not sound like anything too revealing, this will at least provide some reassurance to those who are looking forward to the latest smartphone from LG, by confirming that the latest processor and market-relevant level of flagship RAM will be on offer. For those wondering, the rest of the rumored specs are said to include a 5.3-inch display which is likely to come boasting a 2560 x 1440 resolution. Besides the 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 820, inside, the LG G5 is also expected to come boasting a 2,800 mAh battery and likely to come equipped with a 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel rear and front camera combination. Either way, with the LG G5 confirmed to be in attendance at this year’s MWC event, it is only a matter of time now before all the specs, features and design aspects are officially confirmed.
