The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas certainly did not disappoint. We’ve seen all sorts of tech being introduced last month, and quite a few smartphone manufacturers have participated the tradeshow. Polaroid might not be the most popular smartphone manufacturer out there, but this company is well known, and is making smartphones, in case you didn’t know. This US-based company has introduced the Polaroid Power S60L handset during CES, and it seems like the phone is ready to roll out in the country, read on.
The Polaroid Power S60L smartphone has paid a visit to the FCC, and has been certified, which means it’s ready to launch basically, or will be soon. The Polaroid S60L is, in fact, a phablet device. The handset features a 6-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This device is powered by an octa-core SoC, and sports a 3,000mAh battery on the inside. The 13-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Android Lollipop comes pre-installed on this phablet, but Polaroid did say that Android 6.0 Marshmallow is on the way, even though they did not specify when will it roll out.
If you take a look at the provided images, you’ll get to see the device itself. As you can see, the Polaroid Power S60L features capacitive buttons below the display, while its loudspeaker is placed on the back. The camera is centered in the upper portion of the phone’s back, and the device doesn’t look all that bad, especially if you like this Rose Gold / Pink color. Both the power / lock and volume rocker keys are placed on the right-hand side of this device, and considering their position, they might be somewhat hard to reach for those of you with smaller hands. That is more or less it, we still don’t have all the details when it comes to this phablet, but its full spec sheet and features info will surface soon enough.
