SK Telecom Variant Of LG G5 Surfaces On Geekbench

The LG G5 will be announced in only a couple of hours. LG has scheduled a press event a while ago, and will introduce their new flagship in Barcelona as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The LG G5 has been leaking out for quite some time now, and we already have plenty of info when it comes to this smartphone already (presuming leaks are accurate), but we won’t be sure until LG actually unveils the phone.

Well, before the phone actually gets announced, we do have yet another piece of leaked info to share with you. The LG G5 has actually surfaced on Geekbench quite recently, and it seems like this is the SK Telecom (Korean carrier) variant of the device which carries the LG-F700S model name. Now, according to the listing, the device managed to score 2,248 points in the single-core, and 5,061 points in the multi-core test over at Geekbench. The listing also confirms, once again, that the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor with the addition of 4GB of RAM on the inside. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system has also been mentioned in this listing, and even though LG’s custom UI isn’t mentioned, the device will definitely arrive with it on top of Android.

According to the info that we have thus far, the LG G5 will be made out of metal, and it will actually offer you a chance to replace its battery, but not the way it has thus far. You won’t be able to remove the back cover of the LG G5, but you will be able to remove its ‘chin’. Once you pull out the bottom part of the device, you’ll get access to its battery. Various modules for the LG G5 have also been mentioned and leaked recently, so it seems like that functionality is coming as well. The device will sport a dual camera setup on the back, and at least one of the two cameras will sport a 16-megapixel sensor on the inside. Aside from the SoC, RAM and OS we’ve already mentioned, the LG G5 will also sport an 8-megapixel shooter up front, and 4G LTE will also be a part of this package. The 5.3-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display has also been rumored thus far, and more than one internal storage variant of this phone will be available.
