Xiaomi Mi 5 has been leaking out for a long time now. The company’s upcoming flagship was actually supposed to be announced last year, but Xiaomi opted to wait for the Snapdragon 820 to become available. We’ve collected quite a few spec details from previous leaks, and the company has already confirmed some of those specs. It was previously confirmed that the phone will sport a fullHD display, not a QHD panel, and that it will feature dual-SIM and NFC, while the company’s exec also confirmed that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 processor.
That being said, a new leak surfaced recently, revealing Mi 5’s specifications, including some info we didn’t have thus far. Believe it or not, these specs are actually listed on a piece of paper you can see in the provided image. Anyhow, according to this info, the Mi 5 will feature a 5.15-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, and a 2,910mAh battery on the inside. The 16-megapixel OIS camera will be included on the back of this phone, and it will be flanked by the Laser Autofocus. The Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC running at 2.15GHz will fuel this phone, and a Type-C USB port will be included here as well. The phone will support NFC, and dual-SIM functionality, as it was confirmed earlier. The 4G LTE connectivity will also be a part of this package, and that is pretty much everything this leak has revealed.
This leak doesn’t mention the phone’s dimensions, while RAM and internal storage info is also missing. The device will quite probably be really compact considering it will sport a 5.15-inch display, while you can expect it to ship with 3 / 4GB of RAM and various internal storage models will be available. The physical home button will probably be located below the display, and the fingerprint scanner will be built into it. Now, two different design variants have been mentioned recently, the all-metal model, and the glass + metal variant. Rumors said that Xiaomi plans to introduce both of these devices, but we’re not that sure. Either way, the device will be announced on February 24th, that’s when we’ll get far more info to share with you, stay tuned.
