Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been the most rumored and leaked smartphones in the last couple of months. We’ve seen a number of real life images surface thus far, and what appear to be official renders of these two handsets. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will resemble its predecessors quite a bit, though they look like a cross between the Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge and Galaxy Note 5. Yesterday’s leak showed off the Galaxy S7’s micro USB port, and now we have a new image to share with you, coming from the same source, read on.
This time around, the Galaxy S7 Edge has decided to surface and show off its design. This is nothing we haven’t seen before. this leak actually goes hand-in-hand to pretty much every other S7 Edge leak we’ve seen in the last couple of weeks. The phone’s physical home button is clearly visible here, and as you can see, it’s rather big, which is not a bad thing, especially considering there’s a fingerprint scanner built into it. The physical volume rocker buttons are placed on the left-hand side of the device, and the power / lock key is located on the phone’s right side. Keep in mind that the image is a bit distorted, which would explain the odd shift in reflection on the device (in various places). The display is curved here once again, and the curve actually seems to be quite similar to the one we’ve seen on its predecessor. There’s one significant difference when it comes to these two devices, the Galaxy S7 Edge will have a curved back (though that’s not visible in this image), much like the Galaxy Note 5, which should help with the grip, and probably allow Samsung to include a bigger battery pack on the inside.
The Galaxy S7 Edge is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM and various internal storage options. The device will be powered either by the Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820 SoCs, depending on which model you opt to purchase. The 12.2-megapixel BRITECELL camera is rumored to be this device’s main shooter, while you can expect a 5-megapixel snapper up front. The 3,600mAh non-removable battery will quite probably going to be included here, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will also be a part of this package, while you’ll find Samsung’s TouchWIz UI installed on top of it. The company will introduce the two Galaxy S7 smartphones on February 21st, so stay tuned for that.
