Alleged Google Glass Enterprise Model Hits eBay

Google Glass has all but disappeared, and although the once extremely popular wearable was the talk of the town and has now faded from most people’s memories, it still lives on as Google continues to work on the enterprise edition of the face-worn tech for businesses and other institutions have quite a bit of use for it. A Google Glass Enterprise model headset hasnot officially been announced by Google, of course, but documents regarding it and diagrams explaining the details of the headset have previously popped up at the FCC which point towards a new business-focused version of the glasses.

Aside from having no official announcement from Google so far, images of the Glass Enterprise Edition have been absent from the public, although there has been a patent filed in the middle of last month which showcased the new design of the headset. Much of the design hasn’t changed from the model that developers and enthusiasts knew, aside from a few key differences, and those particular details can be seen in these images from a current eBay listing of the Google Glass Enterprise Edition wearable that is still up for auction. One of the most noticeable details to anyone that has seen the older model of the Glass, the Explorer model, is what appear to be hinges on the pieces of the headset that fit over your ear much ilke a regular pair of glasses. These hinges can also be seen in the patent.

The Explorer model of Glass also charged through microUSB, while the Enterprise Edition appears to be charging by way of a new three-prong magnetic connector, and the cable that attaches to the headset appears to be a braided cable likely meant to be a little more touch and capable of standing up to the sometimes harsher conditions of a business environment. The pair of glasses also comes with a carying ouch, referred to as a “dust bag” byt the auction listing, meant to hold the glassess and the accompanying cable connector. At the time of writing the listing for the Google Glass Enterprise Edition glasses are going for $2,550 as the highest bid.
