AT&T & BlackBerry Offering Free Accessories To Priv Owners

BlackBerry’s first official Android-Powered device has been available for months now, and it’s available on multiple carriers now that AT&T’s exclusivity has ended. AT&T was still the first carrier to pick up and offer the device though, and right now they’re looking to offer customers who purchase one of the phones a special offer set to drive sales. Those who choose to purchase a BlackBerry Priv on AT&T’s network are looking at receiving quite a few accessories for free, and free stuff is never a bad thing especially if you’re already on AT&T’s network and looking to upgrade, or already considering switching to AT&T.

If you buy the Priv from AT&T, the offer includes $90 worth of free accessories, so if you like to accessorize your device this is an offer which is likely at least worth considering. As for what the accessories are, customers who end up buying the Priv will get a free Slide-Out Hard Shell case, but it isn’t just any case as it also comes equipped with a kickstand for propping up the device for video viewing or using as a desktop alarm, or for any purpose really. Priv buyers will also end up getting the Sync Pod accessory, and together both accessories make up the above-listed value.

Although this offer probably sounds great to people considering the phone, there are a couple of caveats to be aware of. BlackBerry says that quantities are limited on the accessories so consumers may want to head in sooner than later to make their purchases. Devices also had to have been purchased between now and April 15th, as the 15th is the cutoff date for the free accessory eligibility. Customers will also have to register their purchase by May 16th if they want the chance to receive the accessories. Since this is an AT&T-only promotion, it probably goes without saying that BlackBerry has made the promotion available to U.S. residents only, and of course, while supplies last. If you’re interested in grabbing both of these free accessories, then you should be able to head to any local AT&T store to purchase the device or buy through the AT&T website.
