Huawei is getting ready to launch some new hardware on April 6th. The company has already sent out invites for their April 6 press event which will be held in London, and based on a ton of leaks and the company’s teasers, they’ll announce the Huawei P9 line on that day. The company has pretty much confirmed that the device will be made out of metal, sport dual camera setup on the back, and feature a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.
That being said, the Huawei P9 surfaced on AnTuTu yesterday, and pretty much revealed its specs. According to the listing, the phone will sport a fullHD display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while it will be fueled by the Kirin 955 64-bit octa-core SoC. Well, we didn’t have to wait long for some additional Huawei P9-branded devices to pop up, considering a new leak surfaced quite recently. According to this report, Huawei actually plans to introduce four P9 devices this time around, not three. The Huawei P9, P9 Lite, P9 Max and P9 Plus are expected to land on April 6th, at least according to this rumor. The Huawei P9 Plus and P9 Max will sport the same specs revealed by AnTuTu yesterday, but they will offer different screen sizes. The P9 Plus is reportedly going to ship with a 5.2-inch fullHD panel, while the P9 Max will sport a 6.8-inch display, though we still don’t know if it will be a fullHD or a QHD display, as far as resolution is concerned. The P9 Max is also said to sport a pressure sensitive display, and the dual camera setup. Is it possible that the Huawei P9 will ship with 3GB of RAM, and the Huawei P9 Plus with 4GB of RAM? Perhaps Huawei wanted to differentiate the two, considering the regular P9 is also expected to offer a 5.2-inch panel.
Now, the pricing for the P9 models leaked as well. The Huawei P9 Lite is expected to cost 1,888 Yuan ($292), while the regular Huawei P9 will be priced at 3088 ($477). The rumor says the Huawei P9 Plus will be available for 3,688 Yuan ($570), while the huge P9 Max phablet could cost 4,088 Yuan ($633). Keep in mind these are only rumors at this point, so take this info with a grain of salt.
