That’s where an app like MailTime comes in useful, as it’s essentially an email app which looks and functions more like an instant messaging application, and as of today MailTime has just officially launched the Android version of their popular app which has recently hit 1 million downloads on iOS. MailTime can not only make emailing on smartphones more simple and quick, but things look a lot more organized and streamlined with the way the app was designed.
With MailTime, users can easily sift through all of their emails just like they would any messaging app like Hangouts or WhatsApp, as emails are laid out in chat bubbles, giving users a familiar interface to work with. MailTime also supports a large collection of major email services, including Gmail, iCloud, Outlook, Yahoo, Sina Mail, AOL, IMAP Mail, Microsoft Office 365, Hotmail, MSN, QQ, Mail.ru, and a handful of others. Alongside the wide selection of supported email services, MailTime also utilizes an email protocol to send mail through, which makes it so that MailTime email recipients will receive the email as they normally would via the inbox of whatever service they use, and it would appear just like any other email.
Although recipients are not required to have MailTime installed if they are receiving emails from those who do use the app, there are some benefits to emailing back and forth through MailTime on both ends, like Group Chat style conversations for example with features like easily adding or removing participants. MailTime’s “Smart Inbox” feature also prioritizes emails so the most important ones show up towards the top, not too unlike Inbox by Gmail. What’s more, is that users can easily move between the chat bubble style interface of email conversations to a standard/traditional looking email interface at any time.
