Press Renders Of The Galaxy J7 (2016) Emerge Online

Samsung’s Galaxy J line will get a new model fairly soon, if a spate of reports and leaks are to be believed. The 2016 edition of the Galaxy J7 mid-ranger has been in the news over the past few weeks, having been certified by the US communications regulator, FCC (Federal Communication Commission), as well as China’s electronic devices certification agency, TENAA. The listing on TENAA’s website earlier this month gave us an idea regarding some of the hardware the upcoming gadget will come with. Now, some official press renders of the mid-range smartphone have leaked online, giving us a fairly good look at what to expect from the device in terms of aesthetics. However, there’s no further news regarding the availability of the handset beyond what we’ve read earlier already.

As can be seen, the leaked images show the handset in what looks like two different colors – champagne gold and white. An important thing to note is that quite a few of the images seem to indicate that the particular model we’re looking at here is the China Mobile variant of the smartphone, seeing as the China Mobile branding is plastered prominently across the back panel. The images also seem to suggest that the device will feature 4G LTE connectivity, which is par for the course for just about all mid-range and even entry-level smartphones these days, so that bit is to be expected. While there’s no official word on the pricing of the Galaxy J7 (2016), reports indicate that it might be priced around the $300 dollar mark, at least in China.

Taking a quick glance at some of the hardware specs of the upcoming device as listed on TENAA, the handset is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 720p display and will be powered by an Exynos 7870 SoC, which comes with an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.7 GHz, alongside the Mali-T830 GPU. As for the available RAM and storage, the Galaxy J7 (2016) will likely have 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage. The rear camera will have a 13-megapixel sensor, while the front-facing camera will be of the 5-megapixel variety. The smartphone will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and carry a 3,300 mAh battery.
