Shazam Now Features Buttons For Accessing Play Music

Shazam has been around for years as a leading application on Android for analyzing and recognizing songs and then feeding that information to users, and through it’s latest update the app is getting quite a bit better by integrating a few features that let users access Google’s Play Music app. This is something that Shazam aready offers for other music services such as Spotify, Amazon, Rhpasody and Pandora, and now with Play Music in the mix Shazam is expanding their range of potential users. With these new Play Music integration buttons on offer, users will be able to analyze a song and once Shazam recognizes it, they can hit buttons to either buy the song, listen to it, or start a radio station from that last recognized track.

This benefits both Shazam and Play Music as users with Play Music might be more inclined to try out Shazam now that they have a way to get to the songs they hear and analyze. For Play Music, it just might reach new users who are longtime fans of Shazam. To help drive the installs for Shazam and new users for Play Music, Google is running a promotion in partnership with Shazam that gives users a three-month trial of Play Music unlimited that normally costs $9.99 a month, and instead of the traditional $10 they’ll only have to pay $1 to test things out for 90 days.

Since Play Music Unlimited now comes with YouTube Red as part of the package, this is of course included with the $1 three-month trial, which means users have the capability to stream tons of songs and the ability to watch videos without any ads whatsoever. While this is admittedly a great deal for anyone, there are a couple of requirements, the first being that you can’t have participated in any Play Music trial promotions for at least a 12 month period. If you have never used Play Music before, then you automatically qualify for the promotion, but all redemption of the trial price has to be claimed by April 18th. That gives users a total of 30 days from today to start things up. As far as the regions where this promotion is being offered, those in the U.S., Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, Norway, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, New Zealand, Belgium, Ireland, The Netherlands, and Czech Republic.
