Vernee's Upcoming Flagship Sports 6GB Of RAM, Helio X20 SoC

China is home to many, many smartphone manufacturing companies. As you probably already know, China is the largest smartphone market in the world, so that is not all that surprising. Anyhow, we frequently talk about newly founded companies as part of our job, especially those which we find somewhat interesting. Well, a new company popped up recently, and it is called ‘Vernee’. If you’ve never heard of it, that is not all that surprising considering it is brand new, read on.

This Chinese smartphone manufacturer has interesting plans for the future, at least according to our source at the company. According to the provided info, Vernee is getting ready to release their first flagship in April, and it will be called Vernee Apollo. You can actually take a look at this handset in the provided image above. As you can see, the Vernee Apollo will be made out of metal, and it will sport a fingerprint scanner on its back. Interesting enough, we already know its specs as well. The Apollo will sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with a whopping 6GB of RAM (just like the Vivo Xplay 5), and 128GB of internal storage. This handset will be fueled by MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor, and a Type-C USB port will be placed on the bottom of the phone. The Vernee Apollo’s display will also be pressure sensitive, just like on some other phones we’ve seen thus far. The 21-megapixel snapper (Sony’s IMX230 sensor) will be located on the back of this smartphone, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be available up front for your selfie and video call needs.

That is pretty much it as far as specs go. Now, our source told us that first shipments of this smartphone will be available in late April, but unfortunately, we still don’t know how much will this smartphone cost. Knowing companies like Vernee, the Apollo will be quite affordable, despite its crazy amount of RAM. All in all, this seems very interesting, and we’ll make sure to let you know as soon as the company releases more details, stay tuned.
